“Complexity in this industry is rarely accidental. It's how firms justify their fees. We built Sensible without that pressure. We call it radical simplicity.”

Our clients are good people who have spent decades making smart financial decisions and are now approaching retirement with a solid nest egg and a question they have never been able to get a straight answer to—do I have enough? More often than not, the answer is yes. It’s our job to prove it.

Radical simplicity.

Our founder, Darrell Armuth, comes from a line of high-desert pioneers dating back to the Pony Express—people who you could rely on to get the message across with no detours. That ethos shaped how he built Sensible when he started it in Reno in the early 1990s as a CPA: ethical guidance, fair pricing, and a stubborn belief that good advice shouldn’t require a decoder ring.

When daughter Lena Armuth joined, she listened closely to what clients were actually asking for and evolved Sensible into a full financial planning firm built around answering those questions clearly and completely. She earned her CFP® certification and built the tools and process to back it up.

Together they built something neither could have done alone—a firm where simplicity is not a marketing position but a genuine commitment to every client who walks through the door.
